We don’t expect any rainy days on Öland because island is the most dry place in Scandinavia – that is why there is a desert in the middle of southern part. No one believes in this so I always have to “explain myself” that this is not a British Isles or neither Norway:P On the island I have seen only one storm with rain in spring time during my whole time there.
But it’s standard for Stockholm and places higher on the north that it happens to observe millions of shiny sparks on blue sky which after few minutes became not only one of the most beautiful phenomenon on this planet but also a… hail:P So intensive and big sometimes that whole highways stops and waits for this few moments to moment when someone realize that he have shorts and the sun is shining already;)
As you see I used earlier delivered flags to mark my bags – first time I used polish flags:P Dębowy was so shocked that he didn’t know what is going one, did I get wrong? Well I though that polish and Swedish ones will give a good picture of trip for everyone.
Today meeting with Ramya and Ola to discuss a little about details – we’ll start late evening 25.06 (because of my law exam that day), ferry 26.06 at 9 o’clock. Maybe I should book this ferry already. There is an information from Kalmar Turistbyrå about bus: it will take us and ours cycles for free to Färjestaden from 7 AM to 7 PM so there is no problem at all with getting on the island.
